Peter is organising and co-convening a session at the Royal Geographical Society (with Institute of British Geographers) Annual Conference, 31 August – 3 September 2021. Peter’s session is entitled ‘Bound by Craft: Material Culture and Bordering within Histories of Geography.’
The session will explore the ways in which geographers have historically used material culture as a means to draw borders and boundaries around, between and across different peoples and places and seeks to further recent calls for objects to be taken seriously as a means through which alternative histories of the geographical discipline may be traced.
