Morgan Ip visited the exhibits at the McCord Stewart Museum in Montréal, Quebec.
The Museum has been working intently on indigenizing its collections, and Morgan concentrated on these permanent displays. The exhibition, “Indigenous Voices of Today: Knowledge, Trauma, Resilience”, is the result of a multi-year close collaboration between the museum curators and 11 Quebec’s First Nations and Inuit groups. 100 objects were selected to speak to Indigenous knowledge, the trauma of colonisation, and the hopes for a better future.
