Morgan Ip visited the collections of the Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, Quebec.
The Museum is across the river from the Canadian Parliament in Ottawa. Morgan was greeted by collections access officer Lauren McCoy and curator Gabriel Yanicki, a specialist in archaeology and Indigenous games. Together they reviewed the museum’s Inuit bone game and had lengthy discussions on its collection, representation, storage and game play. Morgan also visited the archives with collections information specialist Benoît Thériault, and thereafter McCoy gave Morgan a guided tour of the permanent exhibition. This was a very successful stage in Morgan’s research.
