Peter has recently completed visits to archives across the USA as part of his research for the Arctic Cultures project.

Peter has recently returned from an archival research trip to Copenhagen to consult various materials for the Arctic Cultures project.

The Arctic Cultures team attended ICASS X (10^th International Congress of Arctic Social Sciences) earlier this month.

The full project team are presenting a panel at the “Greenland-Denmark 1721-2021” conference in Copenhagen later today, 11 June 2021.

Richard gave an invited Plenary lecture at the conference “Greenland-Denmark=300” in Copenhagen on 10 June 2021.

John is giving a paper as part of the APECS International Conference on “Polar Science: Success Stories from the Field and from Home”, to be held online on 12 May 2021.

John contributed a blog entry on the history of global networks in the making of Arctic cartography for the Gotha Research Library in Germany.

Peter is presenting a paper on ‘Arctic Silence in Circulation: Mediating Inuit Geographical Knowledge’ at the London Group of Historical Geographers seminar series at 17:30-18:30, Tuesday 16 February 2021.

Johanne is talking on ‘Archiving Arctic ecologies in the early twentieth century: the field and its archival prostheses’ at the ‘Geographies of Knowledge’ lunchtime seminar series at 13:00-14:00, Wednesday 4 November 2020.
