Johanne has been conducting research at the University Herbaria and the Bodleian Archives in Oxford.

Johanne Bruun has been appointed to an Assistant Professorship in Environmental Human Geography at the University of Birmingham, starting in September 2022.

Johanne has recently been working on the collections of the Oxford University Natural History Museum.

Peter Martin has been appointed to an Assistant Professorship in Cultural and Historical Geography at the University of Nottingham, starting in August 2022.

As part of her research for the Arctic Cultures project, Johanne has undertaken fieldwork in Svalbard.
